At least 10 people were killed and nine wounded in a shooting Saturday at a car show in Baja Californiain the north of Mexicoreported the municipal government.
The attack happened in the afternoon during an exhibition of all-terrain car racing in the San Vicente area of the city of Ensenada.
According to reports of calls to 911, people with long guns got out of a gray van and started shooting at the participants at a gas station. Municipal and state police, Marines, Firefighters and the Mexican Red Cross, among other agencies, arrived at the scene.
The mayor, Armando Ayala Robles, said that the state attorney general, Ricardo Iván Carpio Sánchez, commissioned a special group to investigate the shooting.
