The theft happened in Garsten last Sunday. A search for the vehicle was launched around 10:40 a.m. Just half an hour later, police officers spotted the vehicle in the area of the A9, the Pyhrnautobahn, in the direction of Klaus, just before the Inzersdorf exit. They gave chase. Together with two other patrols from the Klaus motorway police, the vehicle was stopped at the Klaus motorway police parking lot at 11.40 a.m., exactly one hour after the start of the search. The driver, a 33-year-old Croatian, was arrested because of the risk of absconding, questioned and, according to the public prosecutor’s office, taken to the Garsten prison.
