A police patrol stopped the man on Wednesday evening in Pucking (Linz-Land district) because he had noticed his unsafe driving style and had also been on the phone while driving. As it turned out during the check, the mobile phone at the wheel was the least of the problems: the officers noticed a distinct smell of alcohol. They asked the 50-year-old for an alcohol test, which confirmed the suspicion: the car driver had a blood alcohol content of 1.38. His driver’s license was taken away from him, police said on Thursday morning. In addition, it is displayed several times.
