After the suspension of the measures of force, the union of Conaprole accepted one “short-term” trading to establish the working conditions in the next 30 days, something that will be finalized this Friday during a meeting between union representatives and company managers.

After a meeting at the Ministry of Labor and Social Security of Uruguay between officials and members of the Association of Workers and Employees of Conaprole (AOEC), the Federation of Workers of the Dairy Industry and the Pit-Cnt, the union gave the go-ahead to develop “an in-depth dialogue” over the next month.

Negotiations open in Conaprole after several days of conflict

It is worth remembering that the AOEC had suspended this Wednesday the measures of force that included the work to regulation. The origin of the union conflict goes back to the investment of Conaprole at the Villa Rodríguez plant, where it incorporated new packaging machines with a capacity of 15,000 liters per hour of long-life milk. Technology led the company to propose a rescheduling of shifts and ways of working, something the union opposed.
