The city’s golden book is open, now it’s time to write the last chapter. “It would be incredible to celebrate with so many people and the championship trophy in hand,” said striker Sebastien Haller, who stands for Dortmund’s high flight like no other: The 28-year-old Ivorian fought back in an impressive manner after being diagnosed with testicular cancer and nine Goals and three assists contributed.
Mainz is still a dangerous outsider, ninth in the table can no longer move into international business and therefore play easily.
For other clubs, there is much more at stake: Union Berlin (against Bremen) and SC Freiburg (in Frankfurt) are fighting in a long-distance duel for the fourth place in the Champions League and thus for millions. The excitement is also palpable in the league “cellar”: Who will follow Hertha BSC in the second division? Schalke conjures up the royal blue spirit for a miracle in Leipzig, and the last round is also a nail-biter for Augsburg, Stuttgart and Bochum.
