During a meeting with the Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky in kyiv On May 26, US Senator Lindsey Graham rated the “death of the russians” as the “best money ever spent” for the United States. He is heard in a video published, among others, by The Independent.
“Free or dead,” the senator tells Zelensky, who replies “now they are free”, eliciting an affirmative reaction from Graham. The Ukrainian president added that Ukraine “will be free.”
At that moment the Republican senator declared that “the Russians are dying… the best money we have ever spent”. The reaction came today from Moscow through the deputy head of Russian national security and former president Dmitry Medvedev, who responded to the United States senator on his Telegram account, calling him a “crazy old man” and maintaining that Graham is wrong, because “in his beloved United States United States, not only ordinary people are routinely murdered, but a lot of dirty money is spent to assassinate senators“.
Medvedev concluded by recalling “the sad fate of Robert Kennedy, Huey Long, Clement Carlos Pinckney, John Milton Elliott, Wayne Owens and other American politicians.”
Russian attack on kyiv
Ukraine affirmed this Sunday that he managed to repel overnight the “most important” drone attack launched against kyiv since the beginning of the Russian invasion and the president Volodymyr Zelensky praised the country’s air defenses.
The overnight shelling left at least two dead and three wounded, according to authorities.
This attack comes as Russia intensifies its bombardment of the Ukrainian capital and issued warnings against Western powers after the United States gave the green light for Kiev to access F-16 fighter jets.
kyiv’s military administration called the bombing “the most significant drone strike against the capital since the start of the invasion.”
The Ukrainian president thanked the work of the anti-aircraft defenses. “Every time they shoot down enemy drones and missiles, lives are saved (…). They are our heroes,” he wrote on Telegram.
