It was angry eyewitnesses and earwitnesses who dialed the emergency call at around 2:15 a.m.: It was said that wild scenes would take place in front of the disco. “The callers reported that between 20 and 30 people – mainly Serbs and Albanians – were involved in a mass brawl,” a police spokesman told OÖN on Monday. But when officers from several patrols arrived, neither the attackers nor their victims were to be found.
Witnesses also reported that three people fired shots. According to the police, alarm pistols were used and five cartridge cases were found in front of the entrance area. One person was also said to have been pinned to the ground at gunpoint. The people involved in the brawl have not yet been identified. An immediately initiated search was unsuccessful.
