The youth had previously ignored several attempts to stop him. He fell in a wooded area. The 16-year-old and his 21-year-old half-brother stole the quad and a Vespa. The two were reported, and the 16-year-old was handed over to the Czech police because of an upright search.
The investigation began after a 40-year-old reported a stolen quad to the Hellmonsödt police station on Friday. Officials quickly identified two Czech citizens, aged 16 and 21, living in the Urfahr-Umwelt district. Near their apartment, the investigators found a Vespa that had been reported stolen the day before, and a patrol subsequently discovered the 16-year-old with the quad on Leonfeldener Straße.
The two were reported after a house search ordered by the Linz public prosecutor and their interrogation.
