As reported, the doors in the St. Margarethen day care center remained closed in September. Caritas had given up the location due to a lack of staff.
The city of Leonding has now succeeded in finding a new operator for the after-school care center, which is located in the city of Linz but is frequented by many Leonding children. From the coming school year, the after-school care center will be “played with” by the family centers GmbH of the Upper Austrian children’s friends, the municipality of Leonding will provide the necessary financial means. The municipal council gave the green light for the project today, Tuesday.
“I’m glad we found a reliable partner and were able to create clarity for parents and children,” says Mayor Sabine Naderer-Jelinek (SP). The future day-care center is principally aimed at children in Leonding. Should there be free places, these would also be made available to students from Linz.
