As the state police headquarters in Upper Austria announced on Thursday, he wanted to overtake a car in the direction of Marchtrenk at around 5:15 p.m. whose driver had reduced the speed because of an agricultural tractor.
The oncoming car was driven by a 52-year-old; his 15-year-old son was sitting in the passenger seat. The motorcyclist was thrown from his vehicle as a result of the collision. He succumbed to the life-threatening injuries he sustained at the scene of the accident.
