Due to the large number of customers, cakes were no longer available just a few days after the opening.
The mayor of Trieste, Roberto Dipiazza, was proud that the first Sacher coffee house abroad had opened in “his” city. There is currently a Hotel Sacher with a café in Vienna and Salzburg as well as its own coffee houses in Graz and Innsbruck. The Italian Benetton Group also operates a Sacher Café in the Parndorf outlet center.
Since 1832, the world-famous Sacher cake has been prepared by hand in Vienna according to the original recipe. According to the company, the pastry is delivered to almost every country in the world.
