In September the new iPhone 15 will be presented by Apple. Because of the new EU regulations, however, it will no longer have the so-called Lightning port as a charging connection, but the USB-C port, like smartphones from other manufacturers.

Slower cables included

Apple will include a USB-C cable with the cell phone, about which certain details have already been leaked. The new 1.5 meter long cable is said to be thick and durable, but only charges at USB 2.0 speeds. The faster version, i.e. USB 3.0, was introduced as early as 2008, which achieves USB speeds that are up to 10 times higher. However, Apple has opted for the older cable.

It is assumed that only Pro models of the iPhones get faster charging cables. It would also be conceivable that users of Apple devices would have to buy separate accessories for faster speeds.
