The sale of 0km cars rose 5.5% year-on-year

The Automotive Trade Association of Uruguay (ACAU), published his monthly report where the sale of vehicles 0 km grew 5.5% year-on-year last month. The 4,892 sold units in the month of July they established an increase of 17% with respect to the units sold the previous year.

In July There was also a decrease in sales compared to last month, with 4,892 units transacted, although the category of automobiles showed growth in shipments with 2,133 units.

Regarding the first seven months of the year – including January and July – 32,156 new vehicles were sold, including Cars, SUVs, SUVs. trucks, buses and minibuses5.5% higher than the same period of the previous year when there were 30,476.

Increase in car sales with decrease in utilities

During the month of July, 2,133 sales of automobiles, compared to 2,023 units sold the previous month. Among the best-selling brands were suzuki – with 603 units –, Chevrolet – with 393 – and Hyundai with 345 units.

Regarding the vans SUV, There was also an increase in units with a total of 1,149, compared to the 1,065 sold in June, being the best-selling brands. Volkswagen with 168 vans, Chevrolet with 123 and Toyota with 98 units during the month of July.

The other two categories that increased their units sold were, first of all, the trucks, going from 219 to 229 units sold during the month of July. While in second place were placed the bus with 25 units sold compared to 16 in the month of June.

The categories that made the difference so that the total for the month ended lower are the utility, mainly, although the minibuses also had an influence. The former had a drop of almost 500 fewer units, selling 1,823 units in June compared to 1,326 in July. As for the minibuses, a difference of 2 units was registered with respect to the month of June where 30 were seen last month and 32 the previous month.
