The solar power plant now has a maximum output of 305 kilowatts, plus a battery storage system with a capacity of 450 kilowatt hours. This guarantees four hours of full operation in the event of a power failure. This ensures water disposal even in the event of a disaster.
During their tour of the Salzkammergut last week, Environment Minister Leonore Gewessler and Environment Minister Stefan Kaineder visited the sewage treatment plant and were impressed. “With the massive expansion of our photovoltaic infrastructure, we are not only making ourselves independent, but also making a contribution to future generations,” says Hansjörg Schenner, Managing Director of RHV Hallstättersee. “The expansion of renewable energies is an important building block for the future of our children and grandchildren.”
