A 53-year-old from Linz drove his car on Monday evening around 11 p.m. on the B1 in the municipality of Hörsching, coming from Wels in the direction of Linz. After a previous report was filed, a police patrol was able to perceive the driver on the B1 as a wrong-way driver.

The 53-year-old was then stopped for the driver and vehicle inspection. Significant symptoms of alcohol impairment were identified. The vehicle and trailer had to be steered off the roadway and parked safely. For this purpose, the B1 in the direction of Wels had to be temporarily closed. An alcohol test carried out on the handlebars resulted in a value of 2.04 per mille. The driver’s license was temporarily taken away from the driver and further driving was prohibited. The Linzer is reported for several crimes.
