As reported, streaming provider Joyn (www.joyn.at) secured the free-to-air exclusive rights to the US Open.

This is made possible by an agreement with the exclusive rights holder Sportdeutschland-TV. “We are pleased to present a premium sports program with the broadcast of the US Open on Austria’s streaming provider Joyn, free of charge for everyone,” said Mario Lenz from the management of the ProSieben-Sat.1-Puls4 broadcasting group.

Dominic Thiem won the Grand Slam tournament in Flushing Meadows in 2020 and celebrated his greatest success. On Wednesday, after 7.30 p.m. in New York City, the Lower Austrian will serve in his second round match against the American Ben Shelton. The game will take place after two women’s games, which is why a start time around 8 or 8.30 p.m. is expected if the weather is stable.

The game between Sebastian Ofner and the American Frances Tiafoe, which starts after 1 a.m. (CEST) on the night from Wednesday to Thursday, will also be broadcast on the platform.

The games can be viewed at www.joyn.at.
