The technical inspection of the vehicles was carried out by official experts from the Office of Upper Austria. state government. In the course of the priority action, a total of 64 vehicles were checked by the patrols deployed. 15 vehicles were immediately subjected to a technical check (technology/noise). Serious technical defects with imminent danger were found on two vehicles – the license plates were removed on the spot.
A total of 21 complaints were made about technical defects in the vehicles inspected. In addition, the speed of 3,580 vehicles was measured as part of the center of gravity check, and 125 drivers were reported for exceeding the permissible driving speed. The top values were 124 km/h instead of the permitted 70 km/h and 158 km/h instead of the permitted 100 km/h. In the course of a laser measurement in the town of Schwertberg, the driver of a Hungarian car was also measured at 97 km/h.
In addition, three drivers were stopped who had been driving a car under the influence of alcohol or drugs. The driver’s license was taken away from these drivers or they were forbidden to continue driving. In addition, 22 bodies were levied for other violations of traffic law. The BH Perg issued penalty notices amounting to several thousand euros on site.
