Sept 2 (Reuters) – The Russian Defense Ministry said on Saturday it shot down three Ukrainian drones over the Belgorod region, while the regional governor said a man was killed in a Ukrainian rocket attack on a town near the border.

Separately, the governors of the nearby Bryansk and Kursk border regions stated that Ukraine attacked several border villages and injured a woman in the Kursk region.
Ukrainian drone attacks on Russian territory have intensified in recent weeks, with dozens of drones attacking Russia at once in a few days, reaching as far as the western city of Pskov, 600 kilometers from Ukraine.
Russian authorities based in the Moscow-controlled part of the Kherson region of Ukraine also claimed on Saturday that kyiv attacked the village of Maslivka with a drone, injuring a civilian.
