Four days had passed and the Steyr city services had to have another conversation. It was not until August 30th that the employment relationship with the lifeguard who is said to have kicked a bather off the ten-meter tower was terminated by mutual agreement.
On Monday, September 4th, another employee of the municipal works lost his job. It is the driver of a bus who is said to have committed a hit-and-run last Thursday.
As reported the driver of a city bus is said to have hit the driver of a parcel service on route 2b (hospital). The deliverer is said to have been trapped between the bus and a van and suffered minor injuries. Several witnesses stated that the bus driver saw the accident but continued driving. At the time of the accident, the parcel deliverer had more than 1.16 per thousand alcohol in his blood.
The driver of the Steyr bus is being investigated for negligent bodily harm and hit and run. At the Steyr public prosecutor’s office, no proceedings are currently pending.
