The Deputy Mayor of Linz, Martin Hajart, the Mayor of Traun, Karl-Heinz Koll, and Bernhard Zwielehner, the Mayor of Ried im Innkreis, want a new regulation of the specifications for access controls. If they have their way, electronic support for access restrictions should be anchored in the forthcoming amendment to the StVO.
The VP politicians see the federal government demanded, the advantages would be obvious: “The electronic control is more effective, relieves the police and the taxpayers – everyone benefits from it.” /Bismarckstrasse easier to control and implement.”
Data protection requirements
The Ministry of Transport under Leonore Gewessler (Greens) points out that traffic-calming measures can already be implemented using means other than video surveillance. The work on this is ongoing.
