A 21-year-old from Linz informed the police at 2:06 a.m.: A cyclist had just approached him on Waldeggstrasse, threatened him and stolen all his personal belongings. The robber then fled. However, the escape did not last long: just nine minutes after the alarm was raised, the officers picked up the 26-year-old Afghan at a construction site and arrested him. The man had the murder weapon, a Stanley knife, with him.
The suspect was taken to the police detention center in Linz. The investigations by the Linz City Police Command are still ongoing. The 21-year-old victim was unharmed.
