FC Blau-Weiß took the momentum from the first Bundesliga success in the club’s history, the 4-2 win at WSG Tirol, and during the international break a test derby against second division club SV Guntamatic Ried 2-0 ( 2:0) won. For security reasons, the match took place behind closed doors at the Lissfeld sports park.
The goals for Linz were scored by Stefan Urlaub (17) and Conor Noß (42nd). The Innviertler kept the match open for long stretches and also had a few opportunities.
Both clubs will continue in their respective championships next week: Blau-Weiss welcomes SCR Altach on Saturday, September 16 at 5 p.m. in the brand-new Hofmann Personal Stadium, and SV Ried meets on Sunday, September 17 , at 10.30 a.m. in the Innviertel Arena on Kapfenberg SV.
