For thousands of students at Upper Austria’s secondary schools, the last year of their school career is about to begin, which means they are faced with an important question: What to do after graduating from high school? University, technical college – or something completely different?
Concentrated information on the various options will be available from September 20th to 22nd at the JKU campus in Linz. At the study information fair, or “SIM” for short, it is not just the Kepler University that is presenting itself: numerous other universities, technical colleges, academies and institutions for the health professions and the armed forces are also advising the young Upper Austrians about their options for the future.
All other topics relating to studying – student accommodation, financial aid, study selection tests and career advice – are also covered. Visitors also have the opportunity to get a taste of campus air: they can get to know the buildings and facilities, and sample lectures are also open to visitors. “At the JKU, students can choose from around 100 fields of study – and that’s just a sample of the wide range of options available to young people in Upper Austria. I wish the visitors a lot of fun and hope that the trade fair will help them choose their training “To find orientation,” says Stefan Koch, Vice Rector of the JKU.
