American actor Sylvester Stallone visited the Pope in the Vatican with his wife, daughters and brother.
He Pope Francisco was visited in the Vatican by the American actor Sylvester Stallone and in a funny exchange, the head of the Church told him that he had “grown” with his films, while the protagonist of the saga of Rocky Balboa He invited him to box.
Stallone introduced his wife and three daughters to Francisco, in a meeting in which both were very friendly and relaxed. “Pleased to meet you”, said the person who played soldier John Rambo, in the middle of a handshake.
Then, one by one, he introduced the family members who were next to him. “Three, a lot,” Francisco exclaimed in reference to the number of the actor’s daughters: Sophia, Scarlet and Cécile.
The Pope maintained that he had “grown” with the actor’s films and Stallone, 77, put himself on guard with a smile and snapped at the head of the Catholic Church: “Ready to box?”
Stallone visited Rome after passing through Apulia, the town where his father was born. “Thank you so much for taking the time out of your busy day. We really appreciate this,” he told the Argentine pope.
