Family City Councilor Bettina Stallinger is enthusiastic about the modern school, which implements innovative learning concepts and meets the needs of the children. So she set out on the weekend to visit all the school starters. The key point of the new “Marketplace School”: The room itself should act as an “additional educator”. Stallinger was involved in the concept development from the beginning and also incorporated elementary education expertise.
The Rohrbach-Berg municipality has been busy with the school campus project for several years, as Mayor Andreas Lindorfer confirms. In March of the previous year, construction began on the new elementary school, which is now used by 230 children, including 57 first graders in three classes. “We are happy that things are starting now. I would like to thank all the teachers who are required to practice a modern way of teaching in the new school,” said Lindorfer, inviting the community on the first day of school to bring the building to life to fulfill.
To make this day unforgettable, the municipality also set up a photo box. All students should take a souvenir photo. The elementary school students return to school with great joy. The 25 teachers, led by elementary school department head Johannes Kobler, are also happy and excited about the new start. The school campus is managed by Hans-Peter Indra, who was previously the head of the middle school. By the way, the premises for these are already being diligently built. This is expected to be put into operation at the start of school in 2024. The 211 middle school students are currently housed in the old elementary school.
