1,542 artists, scientists, designers and activists from 88 countries were guests in Linz over the five days of the festival. 338 partners and sponsors as well as 434 employees made it possible to present 650 exhibition objects at this “Green Event” and to offer 575 events. The founding lab for the new digital university IDSA (Institute of Digital Sciences Austria) also met for the first time during Ars Electronica. It will continue on October 4th as part of the fall semester.
The next Ars Electronica Festival for art, technology and society will take place in Linz from September 4th to 8th, 2024. Where exactly? According to the artistic boss of Ars Electronica, this will be the case Gerfried Stocker just decided.
