The Traun kitchen specialist Haka is expanding its production and taking over the Mondseer bathroom furniture production from Villeroy & Boch in Mondsee. 80 employees. This was confirmed by Haka managing director Mario Stifter. This brings Haka’s workforce to 260.
Villeroy & Boch in Mondsee specializes in producing high-quality bathroom furniture. These will continue to be produced for the German group over the next one to one and a half years, says Stifter.
For Haka, the main thing was to expand its own capacities. The high quality wood veneers and paintwork would suit Haka very well.
“Haka gives the employees in Mondsee a new home,” says Haka owner Gerhard Hackl. He stands by Austria as a location, even if the general conditions are often not easy. But we produce where there are already production facilities. Haka has been producing since 1930.
