In search of new markets
Although the advance of Australia in the meat market would seem to be a potential threat to the Uruguay, The country is in search of new markets that, little by little, are becoming concrete.
In that sense, at the beginning of this month, the Ministry of Livestock, Agriculture and Fisheries (MGAP) reported that Uruguay will be able to export beef to Mexico again, where 22 slaughterhouses will participate. Added to this is El Salvador – with an announcement published at the end of August – where raw and cooked beef and sheep offal will begin to be exported.
