The groundbreaking ceremony for the reconstruction of the busy intersection on the B138 Froniusstrasse and Harthauserstrasse in Sattledt took place on Thursday. The work on the Fronius intersection is expected to be completed by the end of May next year, and five million euros will be invested in the road construction project.
In addition to a traffic light system, a left and right turn lane will also be built to improve traffic flow. The “Sorelle Ramonda” specialist market area and the Unterhart freight route, which runs parallel to the B138, will also be connected.
“The traffic light system is scheduled to go into operation at the end of this year,” says State Infrastructure Councilor Günter Steinkellner (FP).
The redesign is intended to significantly improve the safety of road users and traffic flow.
