“Our country has four quarters, our garden also has four quarters,” says hobby gardener Gabi Kogler. Around her house on Pöstlingberg there is the “feeding area” with fruit trees, the kitchen garden with vegetables, the wild slope where everything can grow, and the headquarters – the pool.

The garden “at the end of the world” in Rosenau am Hengstpaß by Annemarie Fösl is located at 800 meters above sea level in the middle of the Kalkalpen National Park and impresses with its loving decoration. The green refuge of the Sonnbichler family from Ohlsdorf is completely different: ancient fruit varieties, amphibians and hedgehogs find a home on 1,400 square meters.
