The project aims to give Wels residents the opportunity to try out new sports.

To this end, 174 units for numerous different sports were held in the city’s public green spaces. Participants were able to take part without prior registration. The start times were spread throughout the day, and several evening appointments were also held for working people.

As every year, 18 professional trainers took over the management. The rush was so great that at some events there was a shortage of devices. “You can tell that people enjoy being outside again and exercising outdoors”says deputy mayor and sports speaker Gerhard Kroiß. “I saw a few groups myself, the atmosphere is great. People like the low-threshold offer. Of course, we must continue such actions in the future”says Kroiß.
