The man was standing on an aluminum ladder to cut a piece of spruce timber with a chainsaw. The saw chain got caught. The 35-year-old then fell about four meters from the ladder onto a pallet of bricks and the concrete floor.
After receiving initial care from the emergency doctor, the man from Innviertel was flown by rescue helicopter to the Kepler University Hospital in Linz, the police said in a release.
