Grain ships enter Ukrainian port

These used a temporary corridor through the Black Sea. The bulk freighters are expected to load almost 20,000 tons of wheat for Africa and Asia. In the opposite direction, five ships have already left the port of Odessa using the corridor.

On Saturday night, the import bans on Ukrainian grain tolerated by the EU since May expired in Poland, Hungary, Slovakia, Romania and Bulgaria. Poland and Hungary announced that they would not allow any imports. Romania said it would wait for Ukraine’s proposal for an “action plan” before making a decision.
