The returns of National Health Fund (Fonasa) will begin from today until the 22nd of this month where the Social Security Bank (BPS) of the Uruguay It will disburse 172 million dollars to 152,000 users with incomes greater than 95,200 nominal pesos.

The president of Fonasa, Alfredo Cabrera, reported that 6.5 billion pesos – about 172 million dollars – will be returned to 152,000 users starting today. These are workers “who during 2022 received an average income greater than 95,200 nominal pesos and those retirees or pensioners who acquired, on average, monthly income greater than 103,000 nominal pesos,” states the presidential statement.

In this sense, Cabrera explained that there are two mechanisms to collect, on the one hand, those who have a bank account will receive the deposit directly from September 18. On the other hand, “it may be charged in person, at the premises of Abitab, Redpagos, Anda or supermarkets The Golden”.

In this case, it will be paid between September 18 and 22 “according to the last digit of the identity card, according to a schedule that will be available on the agency’s website.” This information was also confirmed by the acting president of the BPS, Daniel Graffigna.

Payment of returns will be made from the following calendar and will depend on the last number of the identity card.

  • 2 – 3: from 9/19
  • 4 – 5: from 9/20
  • 6 – 7: from 9/21
  • 8 – 9: from 9/22
