The Tyroleans celebrated a 33:27 (14:13) home win over runner-up HC Linz on Saturday, making them the only undefeated team. Because in addition to Linz, the Fivers Margareten also had to bow for the first time, the Viennese lost in Bregenz with 26:33 (11:20).

Schwaz made the preliminary decision between the 34th and 38th minutes when the team pulled ahead with five goals in a row to make it 22:16 in what had been a tight game up to that point and never relinquished this lead. In Bregenz, the home side were in the lead against the Fivers right from the start and, after a dominant first half, were already nine goals ahead at the break.

The BT Füchse from Bruck/Trofaiach are still in defeat after a 34:33 (16:16) away win in Krems. SC Ferlach celebrated their first win of the season with a 27:26 (14:13).
