During a training drive, a participant from Germany crashed his racing car into a barn door and a tractor without braking. He was flown to the Wels Clinic with serious injuries, reports the state police headquarters.
The accident occurred around 3:20 p.m. The 54-year-old was responsive. He told emergency services that he got stuck on the gas in a left turn. The German then drove his car off the right side of the road and after about 130 meters drove without braking into a barn door of a farm. The racing car then crashed into a tractor that was parked in the barn, according to the police. First aid was provided by the emergency doctor, and the seriously injured person was then taken to hospital.
