The service manager Gottfried Zopf and the workshop manager Franz Untersberger began their careers as apprentices at the Föttinger car dealership in 1983 – 1983 is, by the way, the year in which the current managing director Michael Grasmann was born. “With their many years of professional commitment, they have played a significant role in shaping the success story of the family-run car dealership on Lake Attersee,” says Grasmann, who honored the two of them for their many years of loyalty to the company.
40 years in the automotive industry also mean constant development and progress in technology and mobility. The two anniversaries can report and talk about a lot, from the introduction of vehicle catalytic converters to developments in electromobility. “What has not changed, however, is that the people in the company are responsible for success with their knowledge and commitment,” emphasizes Michael Grasmann. And Zopf and Untersberger passionately pass on this knowledge to their apprentices who are starting an automotive apprenticeship in the company.
The BMW location on Attersee was founded in 1959. In 2017, Michael Grasmann took over the business, and this year the name was changed from Autohaus Föttinger to BMW Grasmann.
