Eggelsberg: Construction worker injured after falling from scaffolding

Shortly after 1 p.m. on Wednesday, a 27-year-old construction worker from the Braunau district was working outside of a new building in Eggelsberg when he climbed onto scaffolding and wanted to attach perforated iron bars to the wooden frame structure. For reasons that are not clear, he fell from the approximately 2.5 meter high scaffolding onto the balcony below.

The 27-year-old was found lying on the balcony with a head injury by his work colleague. He was no longer responsive. He was taken to the UKH Salzburg by rescue helicopter.
