Law and justice are the areas of tension in which Borchert – a lawyer without a license but with a lot of heart and mind – fights for both: “If you can’t find the road, you have to find a secret route through the undergrowth,” he explains his mission in “Zurich -Crime” (today, ARD). This time, an unpunished murder leads him into the thick of justice: the DNA proof of the guilt of an acquitted murderer comes too late, the rule is: “ne bis in idem” – no one is allowed to be tried twice for one crime. Meanwhile, the father of the murdered woman comes under suspicion of lynching.
Christian Kohlund lets his Borchert bring the truth to light with his inherent calm. One may distrust the law, but never the man for justice. Even if he – of course in the service of his cause – drove a wedge between lawyer Dominique (Ina Paule Klink) and Inspector Furrer (Pierre Kiwitt). He’ll make it up to you this time. Loyalty and trust are the wind in the sails of this episode, which lets you sail unerringly through the TV evening.
