For reasons that are not yet known, the car left the road in a curve on the L1415 around 3:15 p.m. on Monday and crashed into a wall. The driver’s side of the vehicle came to a stop against the wall – the handlebars were trapped.

Members of the Schwertberg Volunteer Fire Department were able to quickly free the driver from the vehicle. He was cared for until the Red Cross arrived. He was then taken to hospital with injuries of an unspecified degree.
The road in the area of the accident site was closed for cleanup work.
