According to initial information from the Red Cross, the crash of an aircraft in Lungau on Thursday afternoon left two seriously injured. According to an eyewitness who heard a bang and alerted the rescue services, it was a motor glider. The accident occurred in the Lintsching district of Sankt Andrä, in the middle of the forest in steep, impassable terrain.
Emergency medical helicopters, an emergency doctor and three rescue vehicles from the Red Cross were in action, as well as the fire brigade, mountain rescue and police. Further details about the accident were initially not available.
