For the 59th time, the OÖNachrichten’s Christkindl campaign is collecting donations for people in Upper Austria who are in need through no fault of their own. Every euro donated goes directly to where it is needed most. Sometimes they are small purchases that people cannot afford – a new washing machine or repairing a car. In other cases, Christkindl provides greater support – for example, if there is no money for vital therapy for a sick child or if the apartment rent cannot be paid due to a death.
The Christkindl team – Karoline Ploberger and Sarah Kowatschek from the editorial team and Kerstin Jansen and Marlene Lauß from the secretariat – will be working until Christmas to collect donations and distribute them to those who need the money most urgently. Last year alone, the OÖN reader family collected 744,414.90 euros in the run-up to Christmas.
