The supervisory board of the Linz-based steel and technology group decided and announced this today, Friday. The 52-year-old business economist started his career as a tax consultant at Icon. This was followed by various management positions at VA Tech. In 2007, Mayer moved to the Innviertel aluminum group Amag. He had been CFO there since 2007 and became CEO in 2019. Mayer is married and has three children.
