Schubert’s Mass in G major was on the program in Erfurt Cathedral. Veronika Grabner, Roland Prochiner and Arthur Knaus shone as soloists. Helmut Wagner managed to hire professional musicians from the Erfurt Theater to play with the choir.
Another highlight was the performance in the Basilica of Fourteen Saints near Coburg. Mozart’s “Ave verum” and A. Bruckner’s “Locus iste” were not to be missed. Aside from the concerts, they also knew how to delight listeners in the dining room with Austrian songs.
The next appearance in this country is the Christmas concert on December 17th (5 p.m.) in the Wartberg parish church.
