As the Yonhap news agency reported on Wednesday, the accident occurred at an agricultural product distribution center. The approximately 40-year-old employee of a robotics company had been checking the robot’s sensors when it grabbed him and pushed his upper body against the conveyor belt, crushing his chest and face. The man was taken to the hospital, but succumbed to his serious injuries, Yonhap reported, citing the police. The robot apparently malfunctioned and mistook its victim for one of the boxes of peppers it was handling.
