Four concerts, curated by Rudi Aigmüller – three of them with the Bruckner Orchestra Linz – invite you to enjoy music at moderate prices. A premiere by the Wels composer Ernst Ludwig Leitner (80) invites you to enter into a dialogue with Anton Bruckner. According to Leitner, his “serious work about death with a positive end” is followed by Brahms’ “Second” under the former BOL chief conductor Martin Sieghart.
As a guest orchestra, the Philharmonie Salzburg (under Elisabeth Fuchs) is dedicated to Korngold, Dvorak and Richard Strauss with RSO hornist Radovan Vlatkovic as soloist (13th – 11th). To be experienced in 2024: The BOL cellist Lia Vielhaber plays Elgar’s E minor concerto under Harry Ogg (April 11th) and violinist Diana Adamyan plays Beethoven’s D major concerto under Markus Poschner (May 23rd) ,
