The president of National Meat Institute (INAC), Conrado Ferberpresented the new brand of Uruguayan meats in the CIIE Fair in Shanghai where he highlighted the qualities of the meat that coincide with the natural attributes of the country; In that sense he pointed out the 6 reasons to believe in the production of the Republic.

In the 14th edition of International Meat Congressin Shanghai, At the CIIE Fair, he presented the new Uruguayan meat brand along with the “reasons to believe” in the country’s production. In that sense, Ferber also highlighted the sustainable view of livestock farming on which he is focused. Uruguay, with the aim of reducing carbon and methane emissions. In addition to the presence at the CIIE Fair in Shanghai – which had a 260 m2 stand, with meat tasting in a restaurant and tasting on the go – INAC also installed a stand at another food fair in the Chinese capital: Food & Hospitality China. There, in a 32 m2 stand, exhibitors were able to receive clients and offer tastings to potential investors.

A premeditated destiny

The presentation of the new Uruguayan meat brand and the presence at two important food fairs in the capital of the Asian country have the objective of promoting greater commercial exchange with China and its main objective is to Free Trade Agreement (FTA) that the government of Luis Lacalle Pou.

A new identity

The brand “Uruguay Meats” has the definitions by species for Beef, Lamb, Pork and Poultry. This new visual construction will allow leverage the country brand and achieve greater synergy between export sectors. In addition, it will be accompanied by Green Quality seal that defines Uruguayan meats as a sector and add value to promotion abroad.

In parallel with the new identity, a new website that incorporates content in Spanish, English and Chinese on the quality of meats produced in Uruguay, the culture of the livestock country and the main attributes of the production systems; as well as the cuts of meat, their manuals to identify them, recipes and gastronomy tips. Emphasis will also be placed on the contribution to health, human nutrition and sustainable nutrition in harmony with the planet. The brand will allow us to establish a presence throughout the world in a unified way.
