According to VCÖ, 979 bicycle thefts were reported in Linz last year. There is a lack of safe and weather-protected parking spaces. The Greens are therefore calling on the Linz City Council tomorrow to offer lockable bike boxes. “A well-developed infrastructure is essential so that as many people as possible can regularly cycle their journeys. In addition to continuous, safe cycle paths, this also includes high-quality parking options,” says Green club chairman Helge Langer.
Inner city dwellers and commuters benefit
