990 demining missions
The Federal Army’s demining service (EMD) has been deployed 990 times throughout Austria this year, and 40,704 kilograms of various types of war material have been defused during these operations. This included 21.5 tons of infantry ammunition and numerous aerial bombs.
The Ministry of Defense issued a statement calling on people to keep their distance if ammunition or similar objects were found and to contact the nearest police station immediately.
