Uruguay stood out for his participation in the China International Import Expo (CIIE) 2023 where it consolidated its position as a commercial partner in the Asian country due to its proposal that stands out for being sustainable, quality and innovative.
Coordinated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the country’s export and import promotion agency, Uruguay XXI, managed to stand out within one of the most important trade fairs worldwide.
In that sense, the Export Promotion Manager of Uruguay XXI, Pablo Pereira, He highlighted the experience was extremely positive. “Uruguay marked a forceful presence. The public was surprised by our proposal and many buyers were already informed about the country and willing to make good business with the companies that accompanied us,” he noted.
With this, the government has been able to highlight in the exhibition of its diversified exportable offer, among which are the meats, the products dairy and the wines, as well as the industry Information and Communications Technologies (ICT) and services.
Regarding meats, Pereira highlighted the importance of having participated alongside the National Meat Institute (INAC) at the fair, which set up a stand especially dedicated to Uruguayan meats in conjunction with the Uruguayan Embassy in Beijing, with the active support of the ambassador Fernando Lugris.

The CIIE was the setting where the formal presentation of the Uruguayan meat brand was made: “Uruguay Meats”.
